О встрече с Директором Еврокомиссии по Центральной Азии

13 September 2023, Brussels - Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Belgium, H.E. Margulan Baimukhan, and Ambassador Peteris Ustubs, Director for Middle East, Asia and Pacific of DG INTPA at the European Commission, discussed preparations for the Global Gateway forum, including the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU in the areas of transport, development of critical raw materials, digitalization, as well as humanitarian and educational partnership.

The Kazakh diplomat noted that Kazakhstan's ambitious goals to develop a transit and transportation hub in the region, announced within the country's new economic course, open up new prospects for European companies. In this regard, the dialogue and high-level events offer a favorable foundation for the activation of trade, economic, and investment cooperation with the EU.

The European diplomat thanked the Ambassador for the detailed information, including on the main economic priorities announced in the state-of-the-nation address by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He also emphasized the active role of Kazakhstan in the implementation of interregional cooperation, as well as the high relevance of the proposals on the current agenda.
