Ambassador of Kazakhstan Discusses Development of Bilateral Cooperation with Luxembourgisch Partners

Luxembourg, 3 May 2023 - During his business trip to Luxembourg, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium and Luxembourg Margulan Baimukhan met with the Deputy Director of the Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy Tom Reisen, the Rector of the University of Luxembourg Jens Kreisel, as well as with representatives of the Paul Wurth company.

At the meeting with the Luxembourgish diplomat, the parties discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as the international agenda. Particular attention was paid to the upcoming political and economic events with the participation of representatives of the two countries.

In turn, with Mr. Kreisel, the parties discussed the prospects for establishing scientific and educational cooperation between the University of Luxembourg and Kazakh universities. An agreement was reached on holding discussions between Kazakh and Luxembourgish researchers to initiate scientific cooperation. In addition, the possibilities of participation of students in educational programs both in Luxembourg and in Kazakhstan were discussed.

The meeting with representatives of Paul Wurth was devoted to discussing the possibility of initiating cooperation between this company and Kazakh economic entities to develop promising projects in the field of the green economy. Particular attention was paid to the possibility of producing alternative fuels for use in the transport sector. The interlocutors agreed to hold a number of specific discussions with interested organizations in order to achieve the set goals.
