Ambassador of Kazakhstan held a number of meetings in Luxembourg

Luxembourg, March 17, 2023 - As part of his working visit to Luxembourg, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium and Luxembourg Margulan Baimukhan held separate meetings with the Foreign Ministry of Luxembourg, the European Investment Bank, representatives of “Accumalux” and citizens of Kazakhstan living in the Grand Duchy.

At the meeting with the Deputy Director of Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg Mr. Tom Reisen the parties discussed bilateral issues, as well as interaction within international organizations. Special attention was paid to the upcoming political and economic events with the participation of the leadership of the foreign ministries of the two countries. At the meeting, M. Baimukhan informed the Luxembourg diplomat about the upcoming elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan and Maslikhats, as well as about the Astana International Forum, which is scheduled for June 2023.

With the Principal Advisor of the European Investment Bank, Mr. Adam Bruun, the Ambassador discussed the issues of enhancing the EIB's activities in Kazakhstan and in the Central Asian region as a whole. The parties discussed upcoming working visits of EIB representatives to Kazakhstan and agreed to continue the joint work to promote EIB’s financial instruments for Kazakhstani projects.

At the meeting with “Accumaluxm” the parties discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation between the Luxembourg company and Kazakhstani economic entities in the production of high quality plastic products for the needs of automotive enterprises. An agreement was reached to organize negotiations between the Luxembourg company and large industrial enterprises of Kazakhstan.

During the visit, Ambassador M. Baimukhan also held a meeting with Kazakh citizens living in Luxembourg, where certain aspects of the elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan and Maslikhats were discussed.
