Ambassador of Kazakhstan meets the Mayor of Luxembourg

On November 8, 2022, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Margulan Baimukhan met with the Mayor of Luxembourg City Lydie Polfer.

During the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat briefed the Mayor on the comprehensive political and economic reforms being implemented in our country. Particular attention was paid to the development of local self-government bodies, as well as the liberalization of legislation on elections and political parties.

In turn, L. Polfer noted that Kazakhstan is an important political and economic partner of Luxembourg in Central Asia and important bilateral events planned for 2023 reflect the mutual interest of our countries in developing mutually beneficial relations.

In response to the invitation of the Kazakh diplomat to visit Kazakhstan, L. Polfer expressed her readiness to visit Astana to establish useful ties between the capitals of our states.

It should be noted that Lydie Polfer is one of the most experienced and authoritative statesmen of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in addition to many years of activity as mayor of the capital, she also previously headed the country's foreign affairs agency.
