Belgium's «Ahlers» plans to extend its presence in Kazakhstan's market

Antwerp, Belgium, December 8, 2021 – Ambassador Margulan Baimukhan met with the management of the Belgian holding «Ahlers», which since 1909 has been a family business in the provision of multimodal logistics services.

During the meeting, the current state and strategy of the company’s business development in Kazakhstan were discussed. Today, «Ahlers» already has a branch of «Ahlers Kazakhstan» LLP in Almaty, which has been successfully operating in the Kazakhstan market for 25 years, and 5 representative offices in Nur-Sultan, Aktobe, Kostanay, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk.

Representatives of the company took part in the business mission of Belgian enterprises to Kazakhstan on November 22-24, 2021.

According to Belgian businessmen, the company intends to expand its presence in the Kazakhstani market. So, in 2022-2023  the Belgian holding plans to increase its assets in Kazakhstan.

Discussing the prospects for cooperation, the Kazakh Ambassador spoke in detail about the economic results of the visit of the Head of State to Brussels on November 25-26, export and investment opportunities for a Belgian company in Kazakhstan, as well as the prospects for using international transport corridors of Kazakhstan.

The following agreements were reached: the Embassy will assist in finding potential partners for «Ahlers» in Kazakhstan.

The parties agreed to maintain working contacts.
