On the sidelines of the official visit of the Head of State to Brussels, the Center for International Programs JSC and the College of Europe (Bruges Campus) agreed to organize short-term internships for Kazakhstani specialists and civil servants.
The corresponding memorandum of understanding was signed with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Brussels between the President of the Center for International Programs JSC Ainur Karbozova and the Rector of the College of Europe, the former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini.
Founded in 1948 in Bruges (Belgium), the College of Europe trains specialists in the field of European relations. Here, students from more than fifty countries pursue Master's degrees in European Law, European Economic, and Political Studies. The College of Europe is the main training center for European institutions and is recognized as the alma mater of the political elite of the European Union.
More than 600 grants are annually allocated for internships in leading universities and research centers of the world under the international Bolashak scholarship. According to A.Karbozova, cooperation with the College offers an opportunity for retraining personnel working closely with European institutions in strategic areas for Kazakhstan.
As the rector of the university F.Mogherini noted, "College of Europe" is interested in close cooperation with Kazakhstan within the framework of the "Bolashak" program.
It should be noted that cooperation with "College of Europe" meets the tasks voiced by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev about the need to train Kazakhstani specialists to work in international organizations.
