Kazakhstan took part in a charity event in Brussels

BRUSSELS, November 12, 2021 -- The representatives from 41 states took part in a traditional Charity bazaar by NATO in Brussels. The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Belgium has been participating in this event since 2013. All the proceeds from the sales go to support various programs of charity organizations around the world, including applications received from charitable foundations in Kazakhstan.

The national stand and the Kazakh national cuisine attracted considerable interest from visitors.  Items of national clothing, souvenirs, silver jewelry, paintings by Kazakhstani artists, and other products from the Republic of Kazakhstan were exhibited at the Kazakh stand. Among national dishes were Kazakh products such as chocolate, kurt, drinks of domestic production, etc.

NATO Charity Bazaar (NCB) is a non-profit charitable organization established in 1967 on the initiative of the spouses of NATO employees. The first official bazaar was held two years later in 1969 with various unique handmade products from around the world. Currently, NCB consists of volunteers from 42 countries, including the NATO member-states and various NATO programs, including the Partnership for Peace where the Republic of Kazakhstan participates.
