Ambassador Margulan Baimukhan visits a loom production factory of the Belgian company «Picanol Group» in Ypres

According to Luc Tack, CEO of «Picanol Group» and «Tessenderlo Group», Kazakhstan has great opportunities for the development of the textile industry: the country could produce textiles itself (for example, denim).

Today, «Picanol Group» is the world leader in the production in airjet and rapier weaving machines. The company sells more than 10,000 machines a year with a worldwide demand of about 35,000 machines.

Discussing the prospects for cooperation, Ambassador Baimukhan informed about the situation on the textile market in Kazakhstan, investment preferences and the possibilities of the free economic zones for foreign investors.

Also during the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of establishing cooperation in the field of agriculture.
