On Monday, 10 May, Kazakhstan and the EU will hold their annual Cooperation Council meeting. On this occasion, we are looking forward to the visit of Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This year’s Cooperation Council marks a milestone in Kazakhstan-EU relations. It is the first Cooperation Council meeting since the full entry into force of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) on 1 March 2020. Kazakhstan being a partner of geostrategic importance to the EU, the Agreement covers Kazakhstan-EU cooperation in a range of fields, including trade and investment, security, research and innovation, education and culture.
The parties will discuss the ongoing implementation of the EPCA, political, economic and trade matters, the rule of law and human rights, as well as regional and international developments and cooperation.
The meeting will be followed by a press conference. You can follow the conference here: https://europa.eu/!GF99kf.
