Brasilia, February 4, 2025 – a video conference was held with the participation of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil and concurrently to Argentina Bolat Nussupov, Chairman of the Board of the Meat Union of Kazakhstan Maksut Baktibayev, President of the Argentine Institute for the Promotion of Beef (IPCVA) George Grimberg and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Argentina Santiago Deluca.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the possibility of creating a Business Council, which will become an effective platform for establishing direct contacts between the business circles of the two countries. The Business Council is planned to be created on the basis of the Meat Union of Kazakhstan and the Argentine Institute for the Promotion of Beef (IPCVA) through the signing of a corresponding Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding. In this context, the draft of this document was considered.
The participants of the meeting were unanimous in the opinion that Kazakhstan and Argentina, having extensive practical experience in the development of domestic livestock farming, have high potential for bilateral cooperation in the production, processing and trade of meat. In this regard, it was noted that the development of cooperation between the two countries in this area will contribute to the expansion of business contacts between enterprises, the exchange of experience and the creation of joint ventures.
Particular attention in the conversation was paid to the advantages and features of the Kazakh meat market, as well as the economic and logistical capabilities of Kazakhstan for the entry of Argentine products into large neighboring markets. The Argentine side showed practical interest in cooperation and shared its plans for its expansion in this sector.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation, which will thereby create the basis for the establishment of a Business Council between the two countries. The initiative to create this mechanism was announced by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil and concurrently to Argentina Bolat Nussupov during his meeting with the leadership of the Argentine Institute for the Promotion of Beef (IPCVA) in Buenos Aires in June 2024.
