Kazakh-Brazilian cooperation was established in the sphere of culture and education

Brasilia, February 3, 2025 – Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Brazil, Bolat Nussupov, met with the Director of the Guimarães Rosa Culture Institute, Ambassador Marco Antonio Nakata.

On the agenda of the meeting were the issues of establishing bilateral cooperation in the field of culture and education, which were discussed by the parties at the first meeting in June last year. The ambassador familiarized the interlocutor with the procedure for opening a representative office of the Brazilian Institute of Culture in Kazakhstan to study the Portuguese language, the history and modernity of Brazil.

The parties were unanimous in their opinion that training Kazakh specialists with a focus on in-depth study of the language and the country would make a significant contribution to strengthening and expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and Brazil. As a first step in this direction, an agreement was reached to hold a videoconference presentation of the Brazilian Institute this year, with the participation of potential Kazakh partners.

The Guimarães Rosa Institute of Culture is a Brazilian government body that handles Brazil's cultural and educational diplomacy abroad. The Institute was created in 2022 to promote the Portuguese language and Brazilian culture abroad. It has offices in 24 countries around the world.
