The project of the Brazilian company in Kazakhstan was discussed

Brazil, May 31, 2024 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov held online meeting with Sergey Muschenko, Managing Director of the Brazilian company WEG, a world leader in the production of electrical equipment.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for further implementation of the company's investment project for the production of electrical equipment and assembly of motor gearboxes.

The Brazilian side informed about the successful activities of the company in Kazakhstan, the volume of investments and open workplaces of the WEG Service Center, launched in Almaty last year. The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan wished the Brazilian side success in the implementation of the project, reconfirmed the readiness of the Embassy to provide all possible assistance. The parties agreed to continue the dialogue within the framework of the third meeting of the Business Council in Brazil this autumn.

The project for the production of electrical equipment and assembly of motor gearboxes was launched in Almaty in 2023 with the opening of the WEG Service Center, which provides for the initial maintenance of motor gearboxes and electric drives with further localization of their production.
