Prospects of the foreign policy cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uruguay were discussed

Brasilia, April 9, 2024 - The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov held an online meeting with the Director of the Regional Department of Asia, Africa and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, Ambassador Patricio Silva.

During the conversation, the parties noted the existence of a stable political dialogue and good prospects for the development of Kazakh-Uruguayan trade and economic relations. This is evidenced by the successful interaction of the two countries in a multilateral format. The parties highly appreciated last year's exchange of congratulatory letters from the foreign ministers on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of bilateral relations and the official accreditation of Uruguayan Ambassador Daniel Castillos Gomez in Kazakhstan.

The agenda of the meeting also included organizational and substantive aspects of holding the first inter-ministerial consultations in Montevideo within the framework of the visit of the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kairat Umarov to Uruguay, as well as the opening of the first Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in the Uruguayan capital this year. The parties agreed to maintain constant working contact.
