Cooperation in the sport’s field was discussed

Brasilia, January 30, 2024 - Kazakhstan's Ambassador Bolat Nussupov met with Brazil's Minister of Sports André Fufuca, during which, along with the achievements of two countries in the field of amateur and professional sports, the parties also discussed plans for further cooperation in this area.

In particular, during the conversation, the Ambassador told the interlocutor about the Kazakhstan’s sport achievements in regional and global sports competitions, as well as professional sports (boxing, winter sports, tennis, etc.), in some of which our country holds leading positions in the world. The Ambassador also noted the significant successes of the national futsal team of Kazakhstan in the world ranking, where Brazilian players play under the head coach of the national team, Brazilian Kaka.

In addition, the Kazakh diplomat, having informed the interlocutor about the V World "Games of Nomads", which will be held from September 8 to 14 this year in Astana with the participation of sports teams from more than 100 countries, invited Brazilian athletes to participate in them, in particular in those sports, in which traditionally strong athletes of Brazil.

The Minister, as for thanking the Kazakh side for the invitation, praised the solid potential of the upcoming event as a "bridge of friendship and mutual understanding between peoples", and also noted the experience of Brazil participation in the II and III World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan. The parties agreed to maintain constant contact on this issue.
