Issues of cooperation in agrarian sphere were discussed

Brazil, January 10, 2024 -  The online meeting between the management of the Brazilian company for growing soybeans "Savana Sementes" and Kazakh company "My Feedlot" LLP with the participation of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the state of Mate-Grosso do Sul O.Oliveira and official representative of NC «Kazakh Invest» JSC for American countries G.Matayev was held with the organizational support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Brazil.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of cultivation of organic soybeans using Brazilian technology, which does not deplete the soil and gives a double yield. The Kazakh side expressed interest in expanding cooperation in this area and expressed willingness to hold additional negotiations.

Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Brazil in the cultivation of soybeans will be able to make a significant contribution to ensuring both regional and global food security.

For reference: Brazil is the world's leading producer of soybeans. Production of this crop in the FRB has grown by 32.9% to 151.9 million tons in recent years. The country's soybean fields are estimated at 9.5 million per hectare (+26.6%) over the next decade, with plantings rising to 45.3 million hectares in 2029.
