Meeting with Brazilian media

Brasilia, December 12, 2023 –Press briefing for representatives of Brazilian media dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the main milestones of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Brazil in the current year was held in the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Brazil.

In his speech, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov, noting the historical significance of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, thanked the Brazilian media for their support and close cooperation in the context of celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil this year.

B.Nussupov also informed reporters about the main events of political life in Kazakhstan and outcomes of socio-economic development of the country this year. In particular, the main emphasis was placed on the importance of constitutional reforms of President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev according to the formula «Strong President - influential Parliament - accountable Government», as well as the realization of the September adress to the nation of Kazakhstan «Economic Course of Fair Kazakhstan», in which the Head of our state defined the principles of the new economic course of our country.  

In continuation of the meeting, Brazilian media representatives were familiarized with the key aspects of the Decree of the Head of State «On measures on work effectiveness improvement to attract investment into the country’s economy» (dated December 4, 2023), as well as the mandats of the newly created Council for Attracting Investment.

In this context, the Ambassador called on the business community of Brazil to more actively explore the market of Kazakhstan, taking into account the strategic location and develop investment cooperation.

Brazil is a key partner of Kazakhstan in South America, a stable political dialog has been established between the two countries, economic, trade and investment cooperation is developing dynamically, cooperation in the field of culture and tourism is expanding.
