Issues of cooperation with the Brazilian side were discussed

Brazil, October 30, 2023 - Ambassador Bolat Nussupov met with Vice-President of the National Confederation of Industry of Brazil (CNI), President of the Federation of Industry of the State of Rio Grande de Sul (FIERG) Gilberto Petri at the Embassy of Kazakhstan.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the current status and prospects for expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation within the framework of the «Kazakhstan-Brazil» Business Council, and also exchanged ideas on the timing and content of the third meeting of the Business Council next year in Brazil.

Gilberto Petri also briefed the Ambassador on the current activities of the National Confederation of Industry of Brazil (CNI), taking into account the election of its new President.

The parties congratulated each other on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil. On this occasion, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan presented the interlocutor with a letter of appreciation from the Embassy for his contribution to strengthening and expanding bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries.

«Kazakhstan-Brazil» Business Council (Business Committee) It was established in July 2021 under the co-chairmanship of the National Company «KazIndustry» and the National Industrial Confederation «CNI». In November 2021, the first meeting was held in Brazil, and in April 2023, the second meeting of the Business Council was held in Astana.

This year Kazakhstan and Brazil celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
