Regional cooperation with Brazil is strengthened

Brasilia, October 4, 2023 – At the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil, Ambassador Bolat Nussupov met with representatives of the business community of the Brazilian states of Amapa, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso de Sul and Parana.

The guests introduced the Ambassador to the portfolios of their companies specializing in such industries as agriculture (growing soybeans, sugar cane, coffee, tropical fruits), livestock farming, construction industry, alternative energy, logistics and trade. During the conversation, an exchange took place on the subject of cooperation between Kazakhstan and these regions of Brazil.

For his part, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan introduced Brazilian businessmen to the reforms being carried out in the country within the framework of the Address of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev «Economic course of a Just Kazakhstan», as well as the investment climate and measures of state support for foreign investment in Kazakhstan. The Ambassador invited the business community of the Brazilian states to actively explore the Kazakhstan market and establish business contacts with Kazakh partners, taking into account transit and logistics conditions and the advantages of our country’s investment legislation.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a business mission of the above-mentioned states to Kazakhstan next year. The official representative of the state of Minas Gerais to the federation, Secretary Bruno Ornelas, in turn invited the Ambassador to visit the state capital, Belo Rezonci, at any convenient time to meet with the leadership and business circles of the state.

This year, Kazakhstan and Brazil celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
