Senators of the National Congress of Brazil visited the Zhetysu region

Taldykorgan, September 26, 2023 – during the visit of a delegation of Brazilian senators led by the Vice-Speaker of the National Congress Chico Rodrigues to the Zhetysu region, a meeting was held with the First Deputy Mayor of the region Asset Kanagatov, during which the possibilities of expanding interregional trade and investment were discussed cooperation.

The Brazilian side noted the existing huge transit potential of the region for increasing bilateral trade and promoting the export of Brazilian goods to large markets in neighboring countries. In this regard, the senators highly appreciated Kazakhstan’s experience in the development of cross-border trade and expressed gratitude to the regional administration for organizing their visit to the «Khorgos» ICBC.

First Deputy Mayor of the region Asset Kanagatov called on Brazilian senators to more actively support the Brazilian business community in developing the Kazakh market, use the transit potential of Kazakhstan and expand trade and create joint ventures, taking into account all the advantages of the investment legislation of our country and the convenient geographical location of the Republic of Kazakhstan for localizing production and promoting Brazilian goods to large neighboring markets.
