Kazatomrpom`s product deliveries to expand in South America

Kazakhstani uranium mining company Kazatomprom was declared a winner of international tender of the Argentinean company Dioxitek to supply 150 tons of natural uranium concentrate for the needs of the Argentinean nuclear industry. Dioxitek is a state-owned enterprise for the production and commercialization of nuclear materials which realize its activities under control of the Ministry of Energy and National Atomic Energy Commission of Argentina (CNEA) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The importance of developing cooperation in the sphere of peaceful use of atomic energy was noted during the Kazakh-Argentinean inter-ministerial consultations in 2017 in Buenos Aires and negotiations with the leadership of the Argentinean government structures in the field of atomic energy in 2018-2019. The visit of Kazatomprom representatives to Argentina in 2019 allowed to establish business contacts between national enterprises.

Deliveries of the Kazakhstani company’s products to Argentina will help to strengthen Kazakh-Argentinean cooperation and will expand the range of Kazakhstani export products supplied to the markets of South America. In 2018-2019 Kazatomprom was recognized as the winner of international tenders of the Brazilian nuclear enterprise Indústrias nucleares do Brasil.
