Meeting of the Ambassadors of Kazakhstan and Peru in Brazil

Brasilia, July 19, 2023 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov met with Ambassador of Peru, Mr. Ròmulo Fernando Acurio Traverso. During the conversation, the diplomats discussed topical aspects of political dialogue, trade and economic relations, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and expansion of the legal framework between Kazakhstan and Peru.

The parties stated successful interaction in a multilateral format, as well as mutual interest in diversifying bilateral cooperation, organizing mutual visits of business circles of their countries, as well as holding regular second political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

During the conversation, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan congratulated the Peruvian side on the official accreditation of the Ambassador of Peru concurrently in Kazakhstan and expressed his readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in his work in our country. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain permanent working contact at the level of diplomatic missions.

For reference: The first meeting of the Kazakh-Peruvian political consultations with the participation of the Director of the Department of Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Sugurbaev and the Director General of Asia and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru J.Escala was held in 2018 in Astana. Ambassador of Peru to the Russian Federation and concurrently to Kazakhstan Juan Genaro Del Campo Rodriguez presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on April 19, 2022.
