Strengthening economic cooperation with Chile

Astana, June 9, 2023 – within the framework of the Astana International Forum – 2023, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Almas Aidarov and the General Director of the Chilean company «ME Elecmetal» Eugenio Arteaga.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the degree of preparation for the implementation of the company's investment project for the localization of high-tech production in Kazakhstan.

As a result of the meeting, the signing ceremony of thе Agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and «ME Elecmetal» on the basic principles for the implementation of the investment project took place.

The Kazakh diplomat thanked the leadership of the Chilean company for participating in the Astana International Forum.

This year, Kazakhstan and Chile are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
