Established scientific and educational cooperation between universities

Brasilia, June 2, 2023 – in order to establish academic and scientific and technical cooperation in the field of agricultural scientific research, an online meeting was held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil with the participation of the First Vice-Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) Primkul Ibragimov and the Rector of the Federal University of the State of Rio- Grande do Sul (UFRGS) by Carlos André Bulhões Mendes.

During the negotiations, the parties acquainted each other with the key areas of activity of their universities, exchanged views on the importance of the scientific and educational sphere in strengthening Kazakh-Brazilian relations, and also discussed the prospects for establishing academic and scientific exchange between universities.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties signed a Memorandum between the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University and the Federal University of the State of Rio Grande do Sul on cooperation in the field of agricultural science.

Interaction within the framework of the Memorandum will be carried out through the exchange of scientific information and best practices, participation in the joint holding of scientific and practical conferences, forums, consultations, seminars, symposiums, round tables and other events organized by universities. The memorandum will allow carrying out joint scientific research, development, as well as academic and scientific exchange, joint preparation and publication of educational, methodological and scientific literature.

In general, within the framework of cooperation and taking into account the experience of the two countries, the integration of science and education will be strengthened in order to introduce and use new developments and technologies in the field of agriculture and the agro-industrial complex.

This year, Kazakhstan and Brazil are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
