Presentation of the medal to the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Chile

Brasilia, May 15, 2023 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil hosted a solemn presentation of an anniversary medal on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic service of independent Kazakhstan to the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Chile Andrés Rebolledo.

In his congratulatory speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Nussupov, highly appreciating the contribution of Andrés Rebolledo to the strengthening and expansion of bilateral Kazakh–Chilean relations, thanked the Honorary Consul for his active work on the implementation of joint economic and cultural projects. As specific examples, last year the involvement of the Chilean company «ME Elecmetal» in investment activities in Kazakhstan, as well as the creation of the Chile–Kazakhstan Friendship Society in Santiago, were named.

At the same time, it was emphasized that this year our countries are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and it is gratifying that the parties have approached this significant date with some success.

In conclusion, Ambassador Bolat Nussupov, on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, once again congratulated Andrés Rebolledo on his recent appointment to the post of Executive Secretary of the Latin American Energy Organization «OLADE» and having wished him success in his new position, presented him with a memorable souvenir with views of Astana.

The event was attended by the leadership and staff of the Embassies of Kazakhstan and Chile in Brazil.
