Cooperation issues discussed at the Brazilian Foreign Ministry

Brasilia, April 26, 2023 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov met with the Director General for BRICS of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Ana Maria Bierrenbach.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Brazil and stated the existence of a sustainable dialogue between the two states, as well as active interaction within international organizations. In this context, the diplomats discussed in detail the prospects for cooperation between Kazakhstan and the BRICS organization, of which Brazil is a member.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan congratulated the Brazilian side on the election of the former President of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, as the Head of the new BRICS Development Bank.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue close cooperation on an ongoing basis.

This year, Kazakhstan and Brazil celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
