Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan opened in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina

Florianopolis, March 28, 2023 – During a working visit to the state of Santa Catarina, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov took part in the opening of the office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the state of Santa Catarina with the installation of an official plate of the institution.

At the meeting, the Ambassador noted that Brazil is a key partner of Kazakhstan in South America, a stable political dialogue has been established between the two countries, and economic, trade and investment ties are developing dynamically. The first Brazilian company «WEG» from this region intends to start its investment activity in Kazakhstan. The Kazakh diplomat congratulated Altamir Osni Teixeira on the opening of the Honorary Consulate office and outlined the priority areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Brazilian state.

In turn, Altamir Osni Teixeira, thanking for the high appointment and the opportunity to represent Kazakhstan, declared his readiness to contribute in every possible way to strengthening bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil.

The event was timed to coincide with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year.
