Issues of cooperation with Ecuador discussed

Brasilia, March 24, 2023 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov held an online meeting with the President of the Chamber of Construction and Water Industry of Ecuador, Leopoldo Fernando Ocampo Andrade.

During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the establishment and development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. Ambassador Bolat Nussupov acquainted the Ecuadorian side with the main priorities of the investment policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, measures taken by the state to improve the investment climate and new tools to support potential investors.

Taking into account the experience of the Chamber in the implementation of various infrastructure projects, Ecuadorian companies – members of the Chamber were invited to cooperate in the implementation of joint projects in Kazakhstan. A certain interest of the Ecuadorian side was shown in cooperation in the field of water purification technologies and the production of drinking water.

In order to promote mutual interests in the field of economy and trade, as well as expand cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the parties agreed to work out the issue of opening the first Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Quito. Ecuador is the second largest trade partner of Kazakhstan in South America.
