Opening of the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Santa Catarina

Brasilia, October 19, 2022 – The inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Santa Catarina, as well as the ceremony of awarding a consular patent to the newly appointed Honorary Consul Altamir Osni Teixeira, took place in the capital representation of the state of Santa Catarina.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov, Vice-Secretary of the state representation in the federation Noilton Moraes, deputies from the state in the Parliament of Brazil, the leadership of the state capital Florianopolis, representatives of the political and business circles of Brazil, as well as local media.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov congratulated the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan Altamira Osni Teixeira on his appointment and outlined the priority areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Brazilian state. In particular, taking into account the economic opportunities of Santa Catarina, as well as the activities of the first Brazilian company «WEG» (headquartered in Santa Catarina) in Kazakhstan, he noted the importance of expanding the trade and investment activity of our countries.

In turn, Altamir Osni Teixeira, thanking for the high appointment and the opportunity to represent Kazakhstan, declared his readiness to contribute in every possible way to strengthening bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil.
