Embassy of Kazakhstan to Brazil held briefing for the Brazilian media

Brasilia, March 22, 2022 – A press briefing for the Brazilian media was held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil, with presentation of the address of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan «New Kazakhstan: the path of renewal and modernization».

In his speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov told about main aspects of the program of political reforms, focusing on the fact that the message is the starting point of the large-scale transformation of the country and the construction of the «New Kazakhstan». These significant reforms cover almost all spheres of life and are also aimed at strengthening involvement of all categories of citizens in the systemic modernization of the state and society.

Thus, it was emphasized that the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his address to the nation presented a large-scale program of political reforms and a number of important socio-economic measures aimed at overcoming negative consequences of the complex geopolitical situation in the world.

In addition, the Kazakh diplomat noted that this year Kazakhstan celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Kazakh educator, literary critic, Turkologist, poet, public figure and political publicist Akhmet Baitursynov, who made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakh literature. In this regard, the Ambassador informed on the Embassy plans on opening of Kazakh language courses at University Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro, which will be dated for this significant event.

In turn, the Brazilian experts have shown great interest in the new political program of Kazakhstan, which is a continuation of course for further democratization of the country, wished success in implementing reforms and expressed gratitude for the organization of the event.
