Brasilia, May 12, 2021 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov met with the Minister of Mines and Energy of Brazil Bento Albuquerque.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current status of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Brazil and, taking into account the potential of the two countries, ways to expand cooperation in the mining and energy sectors, incl. in the context of the peaceful use of nuclear energy and the development of bioenergy.

In turn, the Minister, highly assessing the current status of bilateral cooperation, thanked the Kazakhstan side for active cooperation in the mining and transport industries through joint projects.

The agenda of the talks also included the creation of an Intergovernmental commission in the field of economics, a Business council between companies of the two countries, as well as interaction of specialized associations.
