The largest Brazilian state of Amazonas is ready for trade and economic cooperation with Kazakhstan

Brasilia, April 20, 2021 – Ambassador Bolat Nussupov held an online meeting with Carlos Moreira, President of the Brazilian state company «Indústrias nucleares do Brasil» (INB), which is an important trading partner of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of expanding cooperation with Brazil in the peaceful use of atomic energy, the possibility of signing an Intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in this area, further participation of NAC “Kazatomprom” in international projects of INB for the supply of its products, as well as the participation of a Brazilian company in the newly created Kazakh-Brazilian Business Council, which is being created in order to expand business contacts and mutually beneficial cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

In turn, the head of INB, highly appreciating the current state of cooperation between the company and Kazakhstan represented by NAC “Kazatomprom”, expressed the Brazilian side's readiness to expand it by further purchasing Kazakhstan products and implementing joint investment projects in the mining industry in the future.
