Prospects for cooperation with the metallurgical company Heneken s.r.o.

Spišské Vlachy, December 11, 2020 – Roman Vassilenko, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Slovak Republic, visited the production facilities of the company Heneken s.r.o., located in Spišské Vlachy in the eastern part of Slovakia, as part of the work on the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Heneken is the largest processing company in Slovakia for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, magnesium, zinc, lead, etc. The company, which has existed since 2007 as a trading company and added a production sector in 2017, produces about 7,000 tonnes of various metals annually and invests a significant portion of its proceeds in modernizing the production. Considering the production volume, the company employs only 150 people, the production is fully digitalized and equipped with the latest technologies.

Currently the company specializes in the recycling and production of pure aluminum, primary aluminum alloys, secondary aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys and aviation products. The company has recently acquired a plant in Žiar nad Hronom, which produces wires for high-voltage power lines, which became its third production asset.

Its products are exported to the Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Croatia.

The company is familiar with the market of Kazakhstan and has working experience with Kazakh companies, which it intends to continue and develop.

Ambassador Vassilenko and Chairman of the Board of Heneken Michal Hudoba and other executives of the company discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan, both in terms of purchasing raw materials and supplying wires for high-voltage power lines and in terms of investment cooperation with interested structures in our country.

The parties agreed to continue further cooperation, including in the form of exchange of experience with interested Kazakh specialists on modernization and automation of production.

The visit to the enterprise was organized with the support of the Council of Slovak Exporters, whose chairman Lukáš Parizek took part in the meeting, and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, which was represented by Viktor Borecký, Director of the Department of Economic Diplomacy responsible for cooperation with our region.
