Kazakhstan to supply uranium to Switzerland’s nuclear power plants

Baden, February 17, 2025 – «National Atomic Company «Kazatomprom» JSC has signed with Swiss company «Axpo Power AG» a first contract in the history of cooperation to supply uranium concentrate for the needs of the «Beznau» and «Leibstadt» nuclear power plants.

 

The parties will commence commercial arrangements in 2026.

 

The contract will allow expanding the geography of sales of the world's largest uranium producer and contribute to deepening partnership between Kazakhstan and Switzerland.
