Aidar Shayakhmetov was presented with the state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Bern, November 15, 2023 - On the occasion of the Republic Day in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K.Tokayev, the veteran of diplomatic service A.Shayakhmetov was awarded the Order «Kurmet». The high state award was handed over by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Switzerland K.Sarzhanov at the solemn meeting in the Embassy.

K.Sarzhanov noted A.Shayakhmetov's long-term experience of work in the UN system, his contribution to the process of Kazakhstan's accession to this universal international organization, strengthening of cooperation with UN institutions and structures and promotion of Kazakhstan's foreign policy initiatives on the platforms of the global forum.

A.Shayakhmetov expressed gratitude to the leadership of Kazakhstan for the honor and trust, high assessment of his achievements.

According to the Law of Kazakhstan from December 12, 1995 № 2676 «About state awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan» the order «Kurmet» is awarded to citizens for merits in development of economy, social sphere, science and culture, education, for exemplary service in state bodies and active public activity.
