Head of state held a meeting with CEO of Stadler Rail AG, Peter Spuhler

Implementation of the project for the production of passenger cars in Kazakhstan was discussed during the meeting.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev was informed about the plans of the Swiss company Stadler Rail AG to modernize the plant for the production of passenger cars, the use of Kazakh aluminum and the establishment of a full production cycle.

Peter Spuhler told about the intention to increase the localization level to 35 % by 2030 and also about the plans to export products from Kazakhstan.

The interlocutors also discussed the transfer of knowledge and expertise. The company plans to organize training centers for Kazakhstan's youth and to establish constructive relations with local colleges and universities.

The President expressed confidence that the implementation of a joint project will strengthen trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Switzerland.
