Zurich, November 13, 2021 - Within the framework of the 250th anniversary of the Modestia cum Libertate – the oldest Masonic lodge in Zurich, – and the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence, a concert of the maîtres of classical art – Kazakh violinist Aiman Mussakhajayeva and Italian pianist Bruno Canino took place in the historical building Lindenhof.
The concert was attended by Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Switzerland Alibek Bakayev with his spouse, the leadership of Modestia cum Libertate, official representatives of the Kazakh-Swiss association Birlik, the Swiss audience, and the Kazakh diaspora.
The concert aroused a keen interest in Kazakhstan and its art and culture. The discerning Zurich audience, as well as representatives of the Kazakh diaspora, warmly and with delight, greeted the virtuosity of the musicians.
A day earlier, Professor Mussakhajayeva had held talks with the Director of the Department of Music of the Zurich University of the Arts Prof. Michael Eidenbenz. The parties, with the technical assistance of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Switzerland, agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Kazakh National University of Arts and the Zurich University of the Arts.
