In the space of about thirty years, from its independence in 1991 to the present day, the Republic of Kazakhstan has successfully established itself not only in Central Asia but also on the international stage, providing a significant contribution to global security.
Since becoming President, Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev has made great endeavors to modernize his country, introducing social, economic, political, constitutional, and institutional reforms.
Nevertheless, one of his greatest achievements remains the implementation of a peaceful social and religious harmony among the more than a hundred ethnic communities living in Kazakhstan.
This capacity for dialogue and this openness to diversity greatly contribute to make Kazakhstan active support in the resolution of international affairs and conflicts.
The launch in 2003 by M. Nursultan Nazarbayev of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in the new capital of Kazakhstan, the country’s role as a mediator in the Syrian conflict, its leadership in the field of nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament are just a few relevant examples about the increasing importance of the Republic of Kazakhstan not only in Central Asia but also all over the world.
As Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, who very well know Kazakhstan, I link the name of Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev to the prosperity and the success of this country. His role has been decisive in the history of modern Kazakhstan and his legacy will continue to contribute to the rise of Kazakhstan.
I am proud to represent and promote the first economic hub in Central Asia, which was successfully established thanks to the leadership of its First President and pursued by his successor Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration.
