Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Received the Heads of a Number of Swiss Companies

Afterwords the meeting with a delegation of Swiss business community, the Head of State Tokayev held separate meetings with the heads of a number of companies.

During the conversation with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stadler Rail AG Peter Spuler, the prospects for the implementation of investment projects in the field of transport were discussed, as well as issues related to the holding of the next meeting of the Kazakh-Swiss Business Council.

General Director of Glencore International AG Ivan Glazenberg told Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the company's plans for the further development of Kazzinc LLP, including the construction of a polymetallic ore processing plant at the Zhairem mining and processing plant.

The President focused on the importance of introducing advanced technologies in order to improve the environmental situation in the East Kazakhstan region.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked Ivan Glazenberg, who will soon be leaving his post, for his contribution to the development of the mining industry in Kazakhstan and wished success to Gary Nagle, who was present at the meeting and will replace Glazenberg.

The possibilities of implementing joint projects, including the creation of a research laboratory for the study of various diseases, including COVID-19, were touched upon at a meeting between the President and the Chairman of the Board of the pharmaceutical company F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG Christoph Franz.
