Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Germany Dauren Karipov meets with President of the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services Holger Bingmann

BERLIN, 22 June 2020 – the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Germany Dauren Karipov has met with the President of the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services, Holger Bingmann. Also in attendance at the meeting was the managing shareholder of Bingmann Pflüger International GmbH, former German statesman and politician, Professor Friedbert Pflüger.

During the meeting the interlocutors exchanges opinions on the current state of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany, which received additional impetus during the recent visits of the Kazakh President to Berlin and Munich in December 2019 and February 2020, respectively. Dr. Pflüger noted the impressive results that Kazakhstan has achieved in conducting political and economic reforms. In turn, Ambassador Karipov briefed the guests on the current domestic political situation in Kazakhstan and government measures to implement joint investment projects in our country. The government working group headed by Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, which is responsible for expediting all legal issues concerning joint investment projects, is always kept appraised of these developments.

Also under discussion was the agenda of upcoming bilateral events concerning Kazakh-German trade and investment cooperation. The parties voiced several suggestions for organizing joint events in the future.

The Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA e.V.) is one of Europe’s largest business associations. Holding the status of a confederation, the BGA unites more than 70 business associations and represents the interests of 125 000 companies with a total turnover of 1 trillion euro at the national, European and international levels.
