Kazakhstan impressed with its tourism potential at the international travel trade show in the German capital

BERLIN, March 5, 2024. – The potential of Kazakhstan was presented at one of the world’s leading travel trade show - the ITB Berlin.

Demonstrating the country's natural landscapes, establishing business ties, presenting tourism potential and attracting foreign tourists to Kazakhstan is the main aim of the visit.

For this purpose, a delegation headed by Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerzhan Erkinbayev arrived in Berlin. Kazakhstan has presented a wide range of tourist routes, including hiking in the mountains, expeditions in the steppes, cultural tours of historical cities, as well as opportunities for eco-tourism.

The Kazakh national stand attracted a big number of visitors. The guests were able to get acquainted with the sights of the country, the decoration of the Kazakh yurt, handouts, a presentation of the natural and cultural riches of Kazakhstan, and national treats as well.

The pavilion of Kazakhstan was visited by Mayor of Berlin Kai Wegner, Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation Zurab Pololikashvili, Senator for Economy, Energy and Entrepreneurship of Berlin Franziska Giffey, General Director of "Messe Berlin" Mario Tobias, President of the German Tourist Association Norbert Fiebig and others.

The Kazakh delegation consists of representatives of the domestic tourism business and about 40 representatives of Kazakhstani travel companies.

The participants of the stand and representatives of the tourism industry of Kazakhstan were able to establish contacts with the business circles of Germany and other countries.

Kazakhstan's participation in the ITB travel trade show made it possible to enhance the country's tourist image and present Kazakhstan as an attractive tourist destination.

ITB Berlin is the world's largest B2B travel trade show for tourism organizations. The exhibition has been held since 1966 and is considered as the most convenient platform for promoting all kinds of travel offers and services. The exhibition is attended by tour operators, airlines, hotels and companies offering goods and services for travel enthusiasts.
