Business ties between Kazakhstan and Germany farmers are expanding

Berlin, January 18th. Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Taszhurekov spoke about the prospects for expanding cooperation with German partners during the round table "Development of the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan: opportunities for investors".

The meeting of representatives of the agribusiness of the two countries took place within the framework of the World Food and Agriculture Forum "GFFA" and the world's largest agricultural exhibition "Green Week", taking place these days in Berlin.

The Vice Minister highlighted in his speech that today there is a significant unrealized potential for building up bilateral partnership in the agricultural sector. He proposed to intensify contacts between ministries, industry associations and agricultural producers of Kazakhstan and Germany.

Among the key factors of the investment attractiveness of the Kazakh agro-industrial complex, E.Taszhurekov named land resources, favorable climatic conditions and human capital.

In his speech, the Vice Minister focused the attention of his German colleagues on the review of the current situation and the development goals of Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex, as well as favorable framework conditions for investors and investment projects in the sector.

Deputy Mayors of the Karaganda region and East Kazakhstan Region - Bauyrzhan Asanov and Nurymbet Saktaganov shared detailed information about the potential of agro-industrial complex development in the regions and agribusiness support programs.

The Kazakh side is interested in developing projects in the field of deep processing of grain, processing of oilseeds, potatoes, sugar beet, fruits and vegetables, meat and milk, as well as fish farming and baby food production.

The experience of German companies such as CLAAS, HORSH, PETKUS Technologie GmbH and others in Kazakhstan are good examples of fruitful long-term cooperation between the two countries.
