The Award of the prestigious Serbian Foundation was presented to the Head of the Organization of Turkic Culture

The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Serbia hosted the Award ceremony of the “Karić Brothers” Foundation in the field of culture and art to TURKSOY Secretary General Prof. Dusen Kasseinov on December 9, 2020.

Member of the National Assembly of Serbia and member of the club of friends of Kazakhstan Mr. Dragomir Karić presented the award to Prof. D. Kasseinov for his immeasurable and longlasting contribution to strengthening cultural, traditional, friendly and fraternal ties among the people of the world.

Every year, the Karić Foundation recognizes outstanding achievements in various nominations, such as strengthening peace and friendship among people, culture and art, economic activities, etc.

This year, due to the epidemiological situation in Serbia the ceremony of the Karić Brothers Awards was held in a narrow format. The ceremony was attended by the Ambassadors of the TURKSOY member states in Serbia.

It should be reminded that in 2015, the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev became a laureate of the Award for his contribution to strengthening peace and friendship between the people of Kazakhstan and Serbia. Among laureates of the Award were also Vladimir Putin, Jores Alferov, Serbian Patriarch Irinej, Emir Kusturica, Novak Djokovic and other distinguished people from around the world.
