On May 30, the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Lebanon organized a forum entitled ““Why Kazakhstan? Investment opportunities across various industries”. Heads of leading Lebanese companies, business organizations and trade unions took part in the event at the “Zaytuna Bay” center, which is considered the hallmark of the country's capital, Beirut. In front of them, Ambassador Rasul Jumaly made a presentation on the business climate in Kazakhstan, its economic opportunities and incentives for foreign investors. Also, the participants were presented with printed and video materials that reveal the potential of our country in various fields. Representatives of local business, known far beyond the Middle East, said they look at Kazakhstan with great interest. In particular, they showed keen interest in the import of wheat, flour, vegetable oil, sulfur, other products and raw materials from our country, in the wide use of its transit opportunities between Asia and the Middle East. It is gratifying that the course of the meeting was not limited to traditional questions and answers, but was accompanied by a discussion of specific projects and proposals. In turn, local entrepreneurs who are already well acquainted with the Kazakhstani market shared their thoughts on its advantages in terms of efficient business conduct. The event itself was held with the support of the Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce of Lebanon Wajih Bizri, and the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in this country Yousef Kanaan.
