On January 25, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Beirut, Rasul Zhumaly, met with the head of the Lebanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mohamed Choukeir. This organization, which has great influence in the local business community and is a coordinator in relations with the outside world, are showing great interest in Kazakhstan. In today's world, when geopolitical and geoeconomic risks are increasing, Arab, including Lebanese businesses are looking for alternative and reliable sources of cooperation. This issue is also relevant for Kazakhstan. In this context, taking into account the potential of both sides in creating multi-sectoral cooperation, the optimal ways of its implementation were discussed. In particular, proposals such as increasing the export of agricultural products from Kazakhstan to Lebanon, expanding mutual business, investment and tourist relations, excluding visa benefits were considered. In order to work out these and other priorities, it was agreed to organize a special business forum in the framework of the Lebanese CCI and adopt relevant plan for the year 2023.
