Kazakhstan and China are working on a visa-free agreement

Beijing, China - Kazakh Ambassador to China Mr. Shakhrat Nuryshev held a meeting with the Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wu Xi.

Special attention during the conversation was paid to the topic of improving the legal framework in order to create favorable conditions for mutual travels of citizens and in general to give an additional "impetus" to bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Shakhrat Nuryshev proposed to finalize the approval of the intergovernmental agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements, meaning a parity basis.

Director Wu Xi highly appreciated the measures taken by the Government of Kazakhstan to enhance people-to-people exchanges between the countries and expressed interest of the Chinese side in signing abovementioned agreement between the two countries.
