Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan A.Tursunov visited Tehran

On May 23-24, 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Tursunov arrived in Iran with a work visit.

During his visit, he met with a number of senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in particular, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran A.Bagheri Kani, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran for Legal and International Affairs R.Najafi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran for Economic Diplomacy M.Safari and Director General for Eurasian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran A.Haqiqian.

At the meetings, the parties discussed international and regional issues, as well as bilateral political and economic issues. In addition, the parties considered ways to increase mutual cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

A.Tursynov at a meeting with A.Bagheri Kani handed him the original invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev addressed to the President of Iran I.Raisi at the CICA summit, which will be held in Nur-Sultan this year.

Along with this, A.Tursynov met with ECO Secretary General K.Noziri and exchanged views on the expansion of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Organization. Also A.Tursynov took part in the brainstorm session of the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the ECO member States.
