Head of State visits solar power plant

On May 29, 2020, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev carried out a working visit to Tselinograd district of Akmola region. The program of the visit was opened by acquaintance with Hevel Kazakhstan LLP, the solar power plant built this year.

The President was informed about the prospects of "green energy" development in the region. About 30 billion tenge was invested in the construction of the 100 MW power plant. Annual power generation will amount to over 148 million kWh. The project uses innovative technologies – heterostructured bilateral solar modules, which are the company's own development.

The Head of State noted the importance of using renewable energy sources in Kazakhstan and wished success to the power plant workers.
