Kazakh Foreign Minister received the Ambassador of the European Union

Nur-Sultan, July 9, 2021 - Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tleuberdi met with Sven-Olov Karlsson, European Union Ambassador to Kazakhstan, who is completing his diplomatic mission in the country.

On behalf of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Head of the EU Delegation was awarded the Order "Dostyk" II degree for his significant contribution to the development of friendly relations between Kazakhstan and the EU.

During the meeting the parties also discussed a number of topical issues of international and regional agenda, including strengthening of relations between Kazakhstan and the European Union.

Since his appointment as Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2018. S. Karlsson has been actively involved in projects to strengthen and develop cooperation between Nur-Sultan and Brussels, as well as inter-regional dialogue within the "Central Asia - European Union" format.
