Greek technologies attractive for Kazakhstan

On November 24-28, 2020, with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Athens, a delegation of “РОП Operator” LLP, representatives of the Akimats of Semey and Ust-Kamenogorsk visited Greece. The Kazakhstan delegation was headed by Chairman of the Board of the “РОП Operator” LLP M.Kumargaliev.

The visit of the delegation took place within the framework of the instruction of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Mamin on construction of 6 waste processing plants in Kazakhstan until 2025.

The Kazakhstan delegation and representatives of the Embassy held negotiations with the Managing Director and the owner of the Greek company "SABO S.A." Dimitris Kiliaris.

During the trip the members of the delegation visited two waste processing plants in Athens and Halkida, as well as inspected the production sites of "SABO" company and got acquainted with the range of equipment produced at the enterprises of the company. During the event, all measures and rules of sanitary and epidemiological safety were observed.

At the end of the visit the parties reached a preliminary agreement on the purchase of automated lines for sorting and processing of solid waste for recycling plants in Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Aktobe. Acquisition and installation of three modern waste sorting lines (production capacity 260 thousand tons of solid waste per year) in three cities is planned till September 2021.

Material and technical upgrading of the waste processing industry of these regions is carried out by the “РОП Operator” within the framework of the road map with the Akimats of East Kazakhstan region and Aktobe. The Company has already purchased 2 324 containers for separate collection of solid waste for Eastern Kazakhstan MSW and 12 units of special equipment for recycling. For Aktobe 1 443 containers for separate collection of MSW and 6 units of special equipment will be purchased.
