Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are ready to strengthen ties in the gas sector

On April 2, 2024, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Sanjar Zharkeshov held key meetings with senior representatives of the Turkmen government and the gas industry.

During the visit to Ashgabat, Sanjar Zharkeshov, Chairman of the Board of NC QazaqGaz JSC, met with Batyr Amanov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, and Maksat Babayev, Chairman of the State Concern Turkmengaz.

During the talks, the parties discussed plans to strengthen fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the gas industry.

In particular, the parties noted their mutual interest in the joint development of mining assets, the implementation of gas pipeline projects on the territory of the two countries and gas supplies on a mutually beneficial basis.

Following the meetings, the parties expressed their willingness to cooperate in expanding strategic cooperation in the gas industry.
